For this term’s memorable event, Year 6 became the teachers! They spent Thursday afternoon helping Year 1 through a range of activities: sorting dinosaurs and animals through root-and-branch diagrams; adapting Play-doh animals to changes in their environment; and matching animals to their natural habitats. Class 1B were truly inspired and a great time was had by all!
Today the children of 2MH performed a wonderful assembly to their parents and carers and the rest of the school!
They entertained the audience by explaining our topic work on the Great Fire of London and the Plague through some amazing acting, singing and dancing. They talked about our Art focus on weaving and colour mixing and showed some wonderful examples of their work. The performance ended with a dramatic recital and song about the Rainbow Dragon.
The children helped to plan and deliver the assembly together with loads of effort and enthusiasm. I was very, very proud of them. Well done, 2MH – you were fantastic!
Many thanks to all the parents and carers who were able to attend – I’m sure you enjoyed it just as much as I did.
