Year 4 are channeling their party spirit in preparation for tomorrow’s memorable event – it’s carnival time!?
Dancing, drama and steel pans… It’s going to be great. Starting at 14:15 – we look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible!
In Mr Absolom’s Maths group today, we started getting our heads around the idea of percentages and how to work out the percentage of any given number.
We used this giant 100 square to help visualise how to divide any number by 100.
Once we had that sorted, we could find pretty much any percentage of any number….. well, almost!
As part of our topic – the Cycle of Life – 6A have just spent the morning exploring the amazing collections at the Natural History Museum.
We really enjoyed looking at all the specimens on display and looked at the evidence for the evolution of mankind.
Keep checking back to see what we are up to next!
Year 6 arrived to find their desks covered in masking tape!? They then had to decide which angles were acute, obtuse or right.
Next, they had to use a protractor to check whether they were correct and see if they could accurately measure the angles created by the tape!
Tomorrow, we will try and identify and classify the shapes we can see on the desks…
