Sweet strawberries in the sunshine

Today, Year 1 traveled to Stonepitts Farm in Kent to try our hand at strawberry picking!

Through our topic, Let’s Be Farmers we have learned all about fruits from around the world and the differences between where and how they grow!

We picked a punnet of strawberries each and even got to taste some – they were yummy! Then, we enjoyed some countryside air and summer sunshine whilst we ate our lunch.

Thanks to all of the parents who came today, we had such a great time with you all.

Have a look at what we got up to!

After our chicks went back to the farm it got a little lonely in our Year 1 classrooms.
We have had an exciting new arrival of 10 caterpillars in each Year 1 class!
