This week’s home learning is all about division.
Use the examples to help you share the numbers equally into two groups. What items around your home can you find to count with? Can you write the number sentence for your maths? Can you think of a number story?
As a challenge can you try trickier numbers of your own? Can you equally share the numbers into 3 groups?
Don’t forget to access Bug Club and Mathletics at home to extend your learning further!

1G have been diving into our Dinosaur topic!
We have been making close observations of dinosaurs to produce sketches, paintings and paper plate dinosaurs!
We have used our new palaeontologist skills to ‘dig for fossils’ and create different tools using junk modelling materials.
We have been reading dinosaur books to find out information and then we made our own.
We have also been learning lots of facts about our favourite dinosaurs.
Check back in soon to see what else we get up to!
To start our new topic, ‘We Love Adventures’, we went on a treasure hunt around our school. We bravely travelled by foot, air and sea past lots of obstacles to find the treasure. Along the way there were some bears who asked us questions, which we did our best to answer.
We travelled over the wobbly bridge.
Then, we swam along the rapid river.
Next, we flew over the big lake.
After that, we tiptoed through the troll forest.
Then, we crept past the sleeping turtle.
Finally, we visited the secret fairy garden. There we found the final question, and a treasure chest! Unfortunately, the chest did not have any treasure, but there was a note telling us to return when we all knew the answers to the questions. They promised us real treasure next time, if we answer the questions correctly.
