Yesterday evening, the Choir performed at the 02 as part of a choir of 8189 children! After learning 12 songs, they performed in front of an audience of 10,000 people. The children were absolutely brilliant, singing with great gusto and energy. Well done, Choir!
This week Year 4 have been learning about the respiratory system. In this experiment, we were measuring our lung capacity by blowing air into a water bottle that had been submerged under water.
Once we had emptied our lungs, we measured the amount of water that had been displaced by the air we blew into the bottle using jugs and subtracted that amount from the capacity of the bottle. This gave us our lung capacity!
Choir children visited residents in Greenhive Care Home today. They sang to the residents and then did colouring in activities with them. The children were fantastic – they were warm and friendly to the residents and they sang with so much energy that some of the residents joined in with the actions. Well done Choir!
