Funnybones and Fire Fighters

We have been reading the story Funnybones by Allan and Jane Ahlberg. In it three skeletons (a big, little and dog skeleton) go on a journey. We have been learning all about bones and skeletons and thinking of our own versions of the story.

The children have also been very interested in fireworks and the people who help us in an emergency (fire fighters and police officers).

As part of our topic ‘Splish, Splash, Splosh’ we created our own Caribbean Café. We practised making different drinks before doing it for real. The children took it in turns serving customers who could choose their own ingredients to make a delicious mixed fruit juice. All the customers were very satisfied with the service and I would definitely recommend a visit if you get the chance.
