On Tuesday 19th September, Year 4 spent the day as Tudors!
This included visiting the Apothecary and creating herbal remedies for the ailments, as well as making their own wax candles and soap. They also got to experience writing their names with a quill and creating bookmarks using leather and authentic Tudor tools!
In the afternoon, the children learnt how to prepare for a Tudor Banquet, including learning all about the types of entertainment that would have been performed for King Henry VIII.
Thank you to those parents that helped on the day. All of this fantastic learning will help the children plan and put on their own ‘Banquet for Henry‘ at the end of this term (Wednesday 6th December).
