On Thursday, Year 6 designed and made a treasure chest to protect precious items belonging to their chosen god or goddess from either ancient Greece or Egypt. They used their knowledge of Maths to help design their boxes: drawing nets, measuring carefully and checking right angles were accurate. These photos show the range of Design and Technology skills used, which also included planning and evaluating. Finally, children used their Science knowledge of creating electrical circuits to make the boxes secure with a burglar alarm!
Which god or goddess did your child choose? Can they describe their box to you? Can they tell you the story of the treasure hidden in the box?
