Lausane Rd Crossing
Back in 2023, our Climate Champions, led by Ms Lepere, raised the issue of the unsafe crossing at Lausanne Rd. This is a key route to school for many of our children and families are faced with a daily dash to the other side!
The Climate Champions came together to call for action. With the support of both the community and Ms Lepere, the children wrote to local Councillor, Gavin Edwards. He wrote back saying he would look into it, thanking the children for raising the matter, and promising action.
We were delighted then to see the arrival of work crews, this week, as they started to create the crossing. Ms Lepere took the children involved in the original campaign to see the fruits of their labour.
