Keep on Running... Please!

.

We hope you have all had a great summer holiday. The school has been a hive of activity over the summer holidays. We have had the floors replaced in Forest & Rainforest classrooms, the second phase of the ASC resource base (Waterfall Class) has been carried out, and, we are very excited to say, that we have had the first phase of our community kitchen, in Ahlberg building, completed too.

We now have a blank canvas... complete with new access (plus new steps) to and from the pond area.

As you can see from the photos, this is very much a work in progress.

Our aim is to create a working kitchen area - this will be used for teaching cooking skills - these come under the Design & Technology curriculum.  We are also developing a 'kitchen garden' - to teach our children about sustainability and where their food comes from. Part of our plan, is also to use the space as a community kitchen, with workshops and demonstrations for the wider community.

Please support our Edmund Waller runners this month, as the money they raise will go towards completing this space.
